The Philosophy, History, and Turkish Language and Literature undergraduate programs operating within
the Erzurum Teknik University (ETU) Faculty of Letters have been accredited for a period of 5 years by
the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of University Programs in Mathematical, Natural and
Social Sciences (FEDEK).
Within the scope of the accreditation process, the programs' educational activities, academic staff
competence, quality assurance systems, measurement and evaluation practices, and student-oriented
education approach were examined in detail. During the site visits conducted by the FEDEK evaluation
team, curriculum, academic structure, physical infrastructure facilities, and quality processes carried out
with internal and external stakeholders were evaluated on-site. As a result of these examinations, it was
certified that the three undergraduate programs met the designated quality standards, qualifying them to
receive a 5-year accreditation.
Evaluating the matter, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated that the achievement is an important
indicator of the university's quality-oriented approach to education, adding: “We continue our efforts with
determination to offer qualified education to our students and to continuously improve the alignment of
our academic programs with national quality standards. The accreditation of three programs of our
Faculty of Letters by FEDEK is a concrete result of the work we carry out in this direction. I would like to
thank our academic and administrative staff who contributed to the process.”
