The Mathematics Department Undergraduate Program within the Erzurum Technical University (ETU)
Faculty of Science has been accredited for a period of 2 years by the Association for Evaluation and
Accreditation of University Programs in Mathematical, Natural and Social Sciences (FEDEK).
Within the scope of the accreditation process, the Mathematics Department's educational activities,
program outcomes, academic staff competence, quality assurance systems, measurement and evaluation
practices, and student-oriented education approach were comprehensively evaluated. During the
examinations and site visits conducted by the FEDEK evaluation team, the department's curriculum,
academic structure, physical infrastructure, and continuous improvement efforts were addressed in detail.
As a result of these evaluations, it was certified that the Mathematics Department Undergraduate Program
met the quality criteria designated by FEDEK, qualifying it to receive a 2-year accreditation.
Evaluating the matter, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated: “The accreditation of our
Mathematics Department by FEDEK demonstrates that our department successfully maintains the
compliance of its educational processes with the designated quality standards and its approach to
continuous development. We continue our efforts to provide our students with a strong academic
infrastructure that meets the requirements of the era. I congratulate our Faculty of Science management
and the academic and administrative staff of our Mathematics Department who contributed to this
significant achievement, and I wish the accreditation process to be beneficial for our university and our
students.”
