A cooperation protocol for postgraduate education was signed between Erzurum Technical University (ETU) and the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) Erzurum Regional Directorate.
The signing ceremony, held in the ETU Rectorate Meeting Hall, was attended by ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak and TurkStat Erzurum Regional Director Mehmet Fatih Temucin.
The protocol aims to allow personnel working at the TurkStat Erzurum Regional Directorate to apply to thesis-based and non-thesis master's and doctoral programs conducted at ETU, in accordance with the relevant legislation and the university's postgraduate education principles.
In his assessment of the matter, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak stated that universities contribute to social development not only through education and research activities but also through collaborations they develop with public institutions. Cakmak stated that the signed protocol will support the academic development of the personnel of the TurkStat Erzurum Regional Directorate, and that the cooperation will contribute both to strengthening institutional capacity and to training qualified human resources.
