Erzurum Technical University (ETU) achieved a significant success by ranking 24th in the Nature Index 2026 Research Leaders Turkey ranking, one of the world's most prestigious indices measuring scientific research performance.
Based on the world's most outstanding scientific publications determined by independent research groups, the Nature Index, with its 2026 data, has been expanded to include applied sciences and social sciences for the first time, in addition to natural and health sciences. The index, which evaluates institutions' research performance through "Share" and "Count" metrics, is considered among the most important indicators of scientific productivity in international academic circles.
By ranking 24th in the Nature Index 2026 Research Leaders Turkey ranking, ETU has once again demonstrated its remarkable position among research-oriented universities with its high-quality scientific publication performance. This achievement also confirms the quality and visibility of ETU's scientific research conducted on an international scale.
