The works prepared within the scope of the "Following the Traces of Cultural Heritage: Erzurum" project, implemented under the TUBITAK 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program and led by Dr. Imran Kavaz Altun, a faculty member of the Interior Architecture Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Erzurum Technical University (ETU), were presented to visitors at an exhibition held at ETU.

The works carried out within the scope of the project, which aims to introduce children to the cultural and architectural heritage of Erzurum, to raise awareness of the historical and cultural values of their city, and to develop consciousness regarding the protection of cultural heritage, were presented to visitors at the exhibition. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by ETU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Naim Urkmez, Erzurum Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Yer, academics, and many families.

Throughout the project, children aged 10-12 had the opportunity to examine Erzurum's cultural and architectural heritage firsthand through field trips, observation studies, and hands-on activities that combined different disciplines. Participants expressed their experiences exploring their city through various artistic and creative works, which were then presented to visitors at the exhibition.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Project Coordinator Dr. Imran Kavaz Altun stated that the main aim of the project was to enable children to recognize and understand the cultural heritage of their city and to gain awareness regarding its preservation.

Expressing that they traced Erzurum's cultural and architectural heritage together with the children throughout the project, Kavaz Altun stated that the works in the exhibition are a tangible reflection of the children's observations, experiences, and imaginations, adding, "With this exhibition, we had the opportunity to share with our visitors how our children view cultural heritage and what they gained in this process. The works produced by our children will make a significant contribution to raising awareness about the recognition, preservation, and transmission of cultural heritage to future generations."
