At Erzurum Technical University (ETU), a training program on measurement and evaluation
was organized for academic staff in order to support quality and accreditation efforts in higher
education.
The program was delivered by Dr. Lecturer Yasemin Kaya from Atatürk University Kazım
Karabekir Faculty of Education. It was attended by ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak,
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim and Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, as well as academic
staff, instructors involved in measurement and evaluation processes, and postgraduate
students.
The program, held in the Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall, comprehensively
addressed both traditional and alternative measurement and evaluation methods used in higher
education. During the training, fundamental principles of measurement and evaluation,
concepts of validity and reliability, and approaches to developing effective assessment tools
were shared. Practical examples of different assessment techniques were also presented.
