The Secretary General and Sports Director of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), Matjaž Pečovnik, and the Rector of Bayburt University, President of the Türkiye  University Sports Federation & CBI, Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, visited Erzurum Technical University.

The delegation, accompanied by ETU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Naim Ürkmez, toured the campus and received information about the university's sports infrastructure and academic facilities. During the visit, comprehensive assessments were made on the development of university sports, international organisations and opportunities for cooperation.

Discussions covered strengthening sport at the academic and institutional levels, supporting the multifaceted development of student athletes, and playing a more active role in international university sports organisations. In this context, emphasis was placed on developing joint projects between universities, increasing participation in international tournaments and championships, evaluating hosting potential, and supporting sport through scientific research.
